Davey Water
2020
Davey Water manufactures many of these products in order to help protect and enhance peoples lives all over the globe. Whether you need healthy drinking water, protection from fires and floods, a relaxing pool or spa, or water to run your farm or business, you can depend on Davey Water.
Unfortunately, their website didn’t help already boggled minds. In fact, trying to find a specific product on their website was similar to the old needle-haystack conundrum.
That’s why we were tasked to create a multilingual website that clearly promoted Davey Water’s products and technology. A new skin was also required, one they could use and adapt on all their websites around the world.
I ran a series of workshops with the stakeholders to understand and simplify a very complex product catalogue and their information architecture. We also discovered the multiple audiences we needed to cater for – these ranged from dealers and tradies to homeowners.
I then ran a UX test on the website to understand the main issues users were having. Essentially most people were overwhelmed with the product range and were unable to find all the technical information needed. With this research in mind, I tested multiple IAs with a small group of 10 users in order to achieve the clearest user journey. Once approved we created high fidelity wireframes and developed a back-log that specified every requirement and function of the website.

These stages helped us develop some essential new features of the website:
Therefore, we ensured the premium products were showcased, the brand guidelines were adhered to and our PimCore expertise dripped through to every aspect.
